The courses for the Sprint, Olympic, and Half distance triathlons all take place in Jefferson County near Sackets Harbor. The Swim will be in Lake Ontario and the water temperature is around 73 degrees. All races will begin and finish at the beach area in Westcott Beach State Park. All swim courses will be counter-clockwise. In the map to the right the course in red shows the sprint swim (.5 mile), orange shows the olympic (1500 meters), while green indicates the 1.2 mile half course. Note that the Olympic and Half courses are 2 laps.
The Bike courses will be all within Jefferson County on roads with little vehicular traffic. Roads will not be closed. However, all bike courses will be in a loop with minimal two way bike traffic. Drafting will not be allowed on any of the bike courses!
Shown is the Half distance bike loop. Competitors will complete 2 of the main loops for a total of 56 miles.
The Olympic Course follows the Half. However, cyclists will not do the out & back on rt 75 near crystal lake. Total distance for the Olympic Course is 40K.
The Sprint course follows the half for the bulk of the distance. However, the sprint bikers will turn right onto shear rd and follow the sprint course markings
The sprint course is 15.5 miles in length.

The Run courses will be within the Start Park area with the finish line near main pavilion and transition area. All courses are pretty much pancake flat and fast.
